Skip the Koh Larn crowds and head for these two instead. Koh Sak and Koh Krok are small islands just off Pattaya with reefs as good as anything around here for snorkelling. A half-day boat trip drops you at both for snorkel stops, where you'll see tropical fish, small reef sharks and proper coral. Fewer people than Koh Larn and the water's usually clearer too. The boats have shade, and the crews are used to first-time snorkellers, so don't stress if you've never done it.
