Baan Sukhawadee

A vast, wildly ornate lakeside mansion in Naklua that reads more like a fantasy palace than a home. It was built by the founder of the Sukhawadee food company as a private residence and is now open to the public, with sculpted gardens, gilded halls and a restaurant on site. Foreign adult entry runs about 300 baht at the gate, more for package tours with a show. Come for the sheer spectacle rather than any deep history.
