Khao Kheow Safari

Khao Kheow Open Zoo sits about 40 minutes north of Pattaya, and it's the real deal — 2,000 acres of open enclosures where the animals roam and you drive or walk through. Far bigger and less depressing than the roadside 'zoos' closer to town. You'll see zebras, giraffes, tigers, and a lot of free-range deer that will mug you for food pellets. Come early; it's a proper half-day and the afternoon heat is brutal.
