Nobody comes to Pattaya for the diving, and that's exactly why it's underrated. There are 20+ sites here, including the HTMS Khram and HTMS Harnaruemit wrecks and reef dives off Koh Larn, Koh Sak and further out. The visibility won't beat the Caribbean — be honest with yourself there — but the marine life punches above its weight: lionfish, moray eels, nudibranchs, the odd seahorse. Plenty of dive schools run day trips and full courses (PADI Open Water takes 3-4 days). If you've got a few dives under your belt, the wrecks are the reason to come.
