“Private pool” covers two different things in Pattaya. Some resorts are all pool villas. Others are ordinary resorts where only certain room types, usually called “Pool Villa” or “Private Pool Suite”, have their own pool. This guide says which is which, based on the room types each hotel lists on Agoda. Book the named room type as well as the hotel.

MASON: the beachfront pick
A 35-room, 5-star resort on Sukhumvit Road in Na Jomtien, opened in 2019. Agoda lists a private beach, a spa, and private-pool facilities. Its room types include a Garden Pool Villa (90 m², described in the listing) and a Beachfront Grand Pool Villa. Its 9.1 score from 1,993 reviews is the highest here alongside The Standard. Extras are priced high: breakfast is ฿3,531 if not included and the airport transfer ฿6,700 (Agoda, 12 Oct 2026). It’s 3.13 km from Jomtien Beach proper, so plan on staying put.

InterContinental Pattaya Resort: pool villas above a private beach
A 156-room resort on Phra Tamnak Road, opened in 2005. Agoda lists a private beach, a kids’ club and a spa. Its pool-villa options appear as “1 Bedroom Pool Villa Oceanfront” and “2 Bedroom Pool Villa Oceanfront”, and the listing also mentions suites with private plunge pools. The Standard, Pattaya Na Jomtien: newest option
Opened on 21 October 2025 with 161 rooms and suites (Bangkok Post, 22 Sep 2025). The range includes a Deluxe One Bedroom Suite with Ocean View and Private Pool. Agoda lists a private beach and a kids’ club; the hotel’s own site also mentions an adults-only bar. It scores 9.1 from 1,230 reviews and breakfast is ฿800 (Agoda, 12 Oct 2026). Sea Sand Sun Resort and Villas: Bang Saray
A 60-room resort at Sukhumvit km 163, south of Na Jomtien in the Bang Saray area, opened in 2002. Agoda lists a private beach, a kids’ pool and a playground, and room types called “Pool Villa” and “Pool Villa Suite”. It scores 8.8 from 2,164 reviews. It’s 5.58 km from Jomtien Beach, so it suits a quiet stay rather than nights out.

Cape Dara Resort: private-pool suites, 60 m from the beach
A 25-floor, 252-room resort on Dara Beach (Soi 20, Pattaya-Naklua Road), opened in 2012. Agoda lists private beach access, a kids’ club and a “Dara Private Pool King Suite Sea View” room type.
