Most visitors never make it up here, which keeps it calmer. The sand is a lighter colour than Jomtien, the water is visibly cleaner than the main beach on most days, and the shoreline is cleared daily by hotel staff from the resorts backing it. Note that water clarity drops after heavy rain or strong winds; it is not always crystal-clear.

Beach chairs and umbrellas: vendors post up along the public section from roughly 8am. A pair of sun loungers with a parasol costs ฿100–฿200 total. No one will hassle you to buy drinks. You can also lay a towel on the public sand for free.
Swimming: generally calm and suitable for adults and children, with a gentle slope into the water. No aggressive surf, but check for any warning flags after storms — the sea here can become choppy in September and October. Bring bottled water for drinking; tap water in Pattaya is not safe to drink.

Wongamat doesn’t have its own baht bus stop signposted, but it’s straightforward to reach:
By baht bus: catch a northbound songthaew on Second Road heading toward North Pattaya (Dolphin Roundabout direction). Since April 2026 the base fare is ฿15; Naklua and Wongamat runs cost ฿15–฿20. Allow 15–20 minutes from Central Pattaya. Get off near the Centara Grand Mirage tower area and walk down Naklua Soi 16, Soi 18 or Soi 22 to reach the beach — these are the main public access lanes between the resort properties. By Grab or motorbike taxi: a Grab from Central Pattaya to Wongamat runs ฿80–฿120 and takes about 15 minutes depending on traffic. Motorbike taxis from the Dolphin Roundabout area are ฿40–฿60. Either is fine for a beach day. For longer trips such as from Walking Street, expect ฿100–฿180 by Grab.
On foot from Naklua: if you’re staying in the Naklua neighbourhood, the beach is a short walk south.

Surf & Turf: right on the beachfront, a popular spot for seafood and grilled meat. Mid to upper price range — expect ฿300–฿600 per main.
