The Best Beachfront Hotels in Pattaya (2026)
Most Pattaya hotels call themselves beachfront. Some are. Many aren’t. On the main Pattaya Beach strip, Beach Road runs between the hotels and the water — so “beachfront” often means “across the road and the promenade”. At Pratumnak, Jomtien and Naklua, that gap disappears. Several properties there open straight onto the sand.
This guide separates the two. Hotels are sorted by beach, with honest notes on what “beachfront” actually means at each property. Prices are in Thai baht (THB) at approximately ฿35 to US$1.
For neighbourhood detail before you book, our where to stay in Pattaya guide covers every area with honest trade-offs.
The short version
- Main Pattaya Beach: The Amari has a genuine beachfront claim. The Marriott (originally associated with this strip) now refers to a Jomtien property opened in 2025. Most other “Pattaya Beach” hotels are across Beach Road.
- Pratumnak Hill: InterContinental and Royal Cliff Grand have private beaches. No road crossing, significantly quieter.
- Jomtien and Na Jomtien: Calmer water, better family swimming, and the Marriott (2025), Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel and Sea Sand Sun are all directly on the sand.
- Naklua / Wong Amat: Long Beach Garden Hotel is right on Wongamat Beach. The Zign is a short walk and is large and well-rated. Cleanest sand in the greater Pattaya area.
- Budget options on the beach start around ฿1,050/night at Ambassador City (Na Jomtien).
Pattaya Beach — Central and North
The main beach runs roughly 4 km from the Walking Street end up to Dolphin Roundabout. It’s the most central, with everything walkable. Trade-offs: busy, water quality inconsistent, and Beach Road creates a gap between most hotels and the sand.
For a full comparison of the beaches, our best beaches in Pattaya guide covers them all.
One thing to know: on this stretch, hotels on the east side of Beach Road need to cross the road to reach the sand. A few properties are on the beach side — but it’s worth checking before you book.
Amari Pattaya — ฿3,850–฿11,200/night
The Amari sits on the northern, quieter section of Pattaya Beach and markets itself as directly on the beach. Its beach club and pool deck are at the water’s edge, with loungers on the actual sand. 339 rooms, two pools, families and couples both work well here. Consistently rated in the 8–9 range across major booking platforms.
Amari Pattaya on the northern end of the main beach strip — pool deck faces the Gulf of Thailand.
Hilton Pattaya — ฿4,200–฿15,750/night
The Hilton is built above Central Festival mall. Beach Road is between it and the sand — a 2-minute walk, but there is a crossing. The 16th-floor infinity pool with sea views is genuinely impressive and makes up for the distance for most guests. Good choice if the pool matters as much as the beach. Rated 8.9/10.
Avani Pattaya Resort — ฿2,450–฿7,000/night
50 metres back from the water with Beach Road in between. A solid mid-upscale choice with a good pool and central location. The beach walk-out experience isn’t there, but the location is excellent for everything else in central Pattaya. Rated 8.2/10.
Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya — ฿2,800–฿7,700/night
On Pattaya Beach Road with the beach across the road. Confirmed by guest reviews: there is a road crossing to reach the sand. The pool complex is large and popular with families. If you’re coming for the beach specifically, there are better picks. If you want the central location and pool setup, the Hard Rock delivers. Rated 8.4/10.
Pratumnak Hill — Private Beaches, Resort Feel
Pratumnak sits between central Pattaya and Jomtien. The beaches here are smaller, quieter and cleaner than the main strip, and several hotels have carved out genuinely private stretches of sand. Ten minutes from central Pattaya by taxi. Our Pratumnak Hill guide covers the area in detail.
InterContinental Pattaya Resort — ฿7,000–฿24,500/night
One of Pattaya’s few proper resort-style stays. Bungalow and villa accommodation set in tropical gardens that lead directly to a private beach on a sheltered bay. No road crossing, no other hotel’s guests. Rated 9.1/10. The right pick if you want private-resort isolation rather than nightlife access. Book well ahead — the best bungalows fill early.
Royal Cliff Grand Hotel — ฿6,300–฿21,000/night
Long-running Pattaya institution with a clifftop position and its own beach access below. Five-star throughout, multiple pools, formal and relaxed dining options. The upper-floor sea views over the bay are striking. Works for families who want facilities and couples who want views without Walking Street noise. Rated 8.8/10.
Diamond Cliff Resort — ฿2,800–฿7,000/night
Pratumnak clifftop location with beach access below. Comfortable four-star, good pool, often underbooked compared to the bigger names nearby. Better service ratios because of it. Rated 8.7/10 and frequently good value for the area.
Cosy Beach Hotel — ฿1,925–฿5,075/night
Right on a small sandy cove on Pratumnak. The beach is private and genuinely pretty. Mid-range price, straightforward service, nothing flashy. One of the more affordable directly-on-the-beach options in the Pratumnak area. Rated 8.5/10.
Jomtien and Na Jomtien — Calmer Water, Families
Jomtien runs south from Pratumnak for several kilometres. Calmer water, less jet-ski chaos, and better for actual swimming than the main Pattaya strip. Na Jomtien is the quieter section further south — some hotels are labelled “Jomtien” but sit in Na Jomtien, which is worth knowing for transport times.
Our Jomtien Beach guide covers what to expect in full.
Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel is a large established property right on Jomtien Beach.
Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa — ฿4,550–฿14,000/night
Opened July 2025 on Na Jomtien’s beach. 289 rooms, multiple pools, kids’ club, spa, and a full beach frontage. Family-friendly and high-quality throughout — a genuine addition to the area. Roughly 8 km from Walking Street. The trade-off is distance from central Pattaya; the benefit is a proper private-beach feel at a quieter stretch of coast. Rated well in early reviews.
Sea Sand Sun Resort & Villas — ฿4,200–฿15,750/night
Among Jomtien’s best-rated beachfront properties (9.0/10). Private pool villas available, well-landscaped grounds, direct sand access on a quiet stretch. Strong choice for couples or small groups who want the resort feel at a lower price than Pratumnak luxury. Note: located in the Na Jomtien section — slightly further south.
Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel — ฿1,750–฿4,900/night
A large, established resort directly on Jomtien Beach. Multiple pools, several restaurants, and decent facilities across the property. Rated 7.9/10, which is honest — reliable and well-located rather than polished. Regularly among the better-priced direct-beach options in Jomtien.
Pattaya Park Beach Resort — ฿1,925–฿5,250/night
Directly on Jomtien Beach with one of the more recognisable properties on this strip — a tower with a revolving restaurant and a funicular. Mid-range price for beach access, pool, and enough on-site facilities to fill a day without leaving. Rated 8.1/10.
Ambassador City Pattaya — ฿1,050–฿3,150/night
Large, dated, cheap for a directly-on-the-beach property. Right on the beach in the Na Jomtien area. Multiple pools, sprawling grounds, and a price that undercuts comparable properties by a significant margin. Rated 7.3/10 — the right pick if the sand matters and the finish doesn’t. Good for families on a tighter budget who want the beach without paying luxury rates.
Naklua and Wong Amat — Cleanest Sand Near Pattaya
Wongamat Beach in Naklua sits just north of central Pattaya. The sand is noticeably cleaner, the water is calmer, and the area feels more residential and less touristy. A good fit for travellers who want beach quality over nightlife proximity. Our Wongamat Beach guide covers the area.
Long Beach Garden Hotel — ฿2,100–฿5,250/night
On Wongamat Beach in Naklua, 4.5 km north of central Pattaya. Pool, well-maintained grounds, direct beach access. Rated 8.0/10. Often overlooked in searches that focus on the central strip — which works in your favour if you book it. Good mid-range value for a genuine beachfront property.
The Zign Hotel — ฿5,250–฿17,500/night
Large, design-forward hotel near Naklua Beach with a multi-pool complex including dedicated areas for children and adults. Note: it is not adults-only — children are welcome. 100 metres from the beach, with access easily arranged. Rated 9.2/10. Best fit for those who want quiet, a well-designed property, and a short distance from cleaner sand.
Wongamat Beach Residence — ฿1,225–฿3,150/night
Smaller property directly on Wong Amat Beach. Simple facilities — pool, clean rooms, sand out the front. Rated 8.1/10. Good value for the location, especially for those who want the Naklua quiet without the Zign’s price.
