The clubs people mean by “Pattaya nightclubs” are on Walking Street, not scattered across town. Doors are late, a lot of ordinary nights are free to walk into, and the room is still half empty if you arrive with the restaurant crowd.
This sits under the Pattaya nightlife guide. The street itself, seafood and all, is the Walking Street Pattaya guide. Beach clubs and rooftop bars are a different evening: day beds and sunset drinks, not a DJ room at 1am.
The rule on hours
Licensed entertainment venues in Pattaya may stay open until 4am, and until 6am on New Year’s Eve. That is the ministerial regulation from December 2023. A bar or shop without that licence may sell alcohol only from 11:00 to midnight, under the notice dated 29 May 2026.
Clubs that publish a time open somewhere between about 20:00 and 22:30. The street feels full after midnight. Walking Street is closed to traffic from about 19:00 to 03:00.
You must be 20. Take photo ID. A phone photo of a passport is not accepted everywhere.
Clubs listed as trading in 2026
Names change and rooms pause. The list below is the one already checked for the Walking Street guide on 12 October 2026, plus two locations that October 2026 listings add. If a door is dark, walk on. I am not going to invent a lineup.
| Club | Where the 2026 notes put it | What is actually published |
|---|---|---|
| Republic | Soi JP, off Walking Street | Doors at 22:00. Free entry on its ordinary nights, from the club’s own event list |
| Mixx | Soi JP, next to Republic | October 2026 listings place it there as a DJ club. It does not, in those notes, print a stable entry price. Ask |
| Club Insomnia | On Walking Street | A large, long-running room. The Walking Street guide puts doors at about 20:00. The club’s own hour is not on a page I could quote beyond that |
| Lucifer | On Walking Street | Band at the front, DJs inside. October 2026 listings put doors at about 22:00 |
| Flexx, 808, MYST | On or just off Walking Street | Hip-hop rooms in the same 2026 set. Hours are not printed by every club |
| Tony’s by Nashaa | Upstairs on Walking Street | The Walking Street guide’s listings put entry at about ฿200, and about ฿500 on event nights. That is a listings figure, not a price I saw on a club ticket page. Ask at the door |
Republic is the one I would use as the anchor, because it is the club that actually prints an opening time and a free-entry note for ordinary nights. Mixx is the room beside it. Treat “next door” as a finding aid, then read the sign.
Table minimums, where a club even offers a table, start around ฿5,000 in the Walking Street notes. That is a minimum spend, not a cover.
If you do not want a nightclub
Hot Tuna and The Stones House are the live-music bars on the same street, cover bands rather than a DJ room. Hopf Brewery House has been on Walking Street since 1996 and opens from 17:00, which is the sane first stop if you are early.
Go-go bars are not nightclubs. They are stage bars you enter for free and pay for a drink. The go-go bars guide explains that bill. LK Metro, inland, is the smaller version of that scene, not a club. See LK Metro, Soi Buakhao and Tree Town.
For sunset instead of a club, use the rooftop bars guide or the beach clubs guide.
What to pay, and what to watch
A large local beer at an open bar on the street is roughly ฿80–150. Inside a club, budget more, often in the ฿150–250 range used on the Walking Street page. Cocktails are often ฿200–400. If the menu says ++, add 10% service and 7% VAT.
Many standard nights are free at the door. Event nights with a guest DJ can be about ฿200–500. Where a club prints nothing, free is not a fact. Ask before you are inside.
Count the drink slips. The usual bad bill is a round you did not order. The nightlife safety and scams guide is the short version. Tourist police are 1155.
Getting there
Baht buses along Beach Road are ฿15 up to 10 km. Get off at the south end and walk in. After midnight, book Grab or Bolt to a pin on Beach Road or Second Road. The pedestrian stretch is a bad pickup point.
A simple club night: food or Hopf around 18:00–20:00, one walk of the street, a live-music bar, then a club after 22:00 if the door price is one you will pay.

FAQ
Where are the best nightclubs in Pattaya?
On Walking Street and the lanes just off it. Republic and Mixx are on Soi JP in the October 2026 listings. Club Insomnia, Lucifer, Flexx, 808 and MYST are the other large rooms named on the Walking Street guide.
What time do Pattaya clubs open and close?
Published doors run from about 20:00 to 22:30. Republic prints 22:00. Licensed entertainment venues may stay open until 4am, and until 6am on New Year’s Eve. The street is busiest after midnight.
Is entry to Pattaya nightclubs free?
Often, on an ordinary night. Republic’s own event list says free entry on standard nights. Tony’s listings say about ฿200, and about ฿500 on event nights. If a club prints no price, ask at the door.
Do I need ID for a Pattaya club?
Yes. The drinking age is 20, and clubs check photo ID.
Are Pattaya beach clubs the same as nightclubs?
No. Beach clubs are daytime and early-evening places with pools and day beds, mostly toward Na Jomtien and the islands. Nightclubs are the late rooms on Walking Street.
Club names and the hours that clubs actually print were checked against this site’s Walking Street guide (12 October 2026) and October 2026 listings that cite the clubs’ own pages. Entry prices that a club does not print are not guessed. This page contains affiliate links; see the affiliate disclosure.
