LK Metro, Soi Buakhao and Tree Town

LK Metro, Soi Buakhao, Tree Town and Soi Honey in 2026: where each street actually is, how a night there differs from Walking Street, and what a beer costs.

At a glance

Soi Buakhao is the street I use when Walking Street feels like too much theatre. LK Metro is the lane off it. Tree Town is the roofed arcade of bands and food on the same road. They sit together in central Pattaya, a short ride inland from Beach Road, and they are not the same night.

The Pattaya nightlife guide is the map for the whole city. This page is only these four names: LK Metro, Soi Buakhao, Tree Town and Soi Honey.

Where they sit

Soi Buakhao runs inland, roughly parallel to Second Road, from the Pattaya Klang end down toward Pattaya Tai. It is a working road in the daytime: hotels, laundries, pharmacies, massage shops, markets, and beer bars. At night the bars are the reason most visitors are there.

LK Metro is the L in the middle of that road. One entrance is on Soi Buakhao, between Soi Honey and Soi Diana. The lane runs back, turns, and comes out on Soi Diana, which itself runs west to Second Road. Walk in one end and out the other and you have seen the lane. Motorbikes still use it. There is no car-free rule like Walking Street’s.

Tree Town is on the west side of Soi Buakhao, just north of Soi Honey, a short walk from the LK Metro entrance. It is not one bar. It is a covered walkway of small bars, food stalls and live-music stages. The venue does not publish its own hours. Local guides in October 2026 describe it as quiet by day and busy after about 19:00. I would not plan a closing time off a blog.

Soi Honey is the short soi beside that stretch. It is an adult-bar soi, smaller and less of a show than Walking Street, and close enough that people fold it into the same evening as LK Metro. I am not listing individual Honey bars here. They change, and a named list goes stale faster than the street does.

Soi 6 is a different street, between Beach Road and Second Road, and it is a daytime beer-bar soi rather than this inland loop. The Soi 6 and LK Metro guide splits those two. This page is the Buakhao side.

What each one is for

PlaceWhat it isWhen I go
Soi BuakhaoThe long street: beer bars, food, errands, hotelsAny evening, and daytime if you are staying nearby
Tree TownCovered arcade, bands and food stallsAfter dark, when a band is the point
LK MetroCompact lane of beer bars and go-go barsLater in the evening, if you want a walkable strip
Soi HoneyShort adult soi next to the LK entranceOnly if that is the night you want

Walking Street is louder, more visitors, and the big clubs. This pocket is where long-stay people actually drink. The beer bars guide covers the open-fronted rooms, including Soi 7 and 8 if Buakhao is not your patch.

What a night costs

Beer-bar prices on Soi Buakhao sit in the same band as the rest of Pattaya’s open bars: a domestic beer is usually ฿70–130, and happy hours in the late afternoon often go lower. That range is the one on the beer-bar page, checked in 2026, not a menu I copied off one stool.

LK Metro’s go-go rooms cost more than its beer bars and less than Walking Street. The go-go bars guide puts a local beer there at about ฿140–170 and a lady drink at about ฿195–220. You do not have to buy the lady drink. Entry to those rooms is free. You buy a drink.

Tree Town’s own stalls do not publish a price list I can quote. Treat it as beer-bar money plus whatever the food stall board says, and read the board.

If a menu says ++, add 10% service and 7% VAT. VAT stays at 7% until 30 September 2027.

A bar fine, if someone explains one, is a fee paid to the venue. It covers nothing else, and prostitution is not legal in Thailand. The bar fine explainer is the page for that. Couples who do not want that scene should stay in Tree Town’s music arcade or a sports bar and skip the go-go lanes.

How I walk it

I start on Soi Buakhao while it is still easy to get a seat, often with food before the bands are the whole point. Tree Town is the place for that if you want music without picking a club. The roof matters in the rainy season, roughly May to October: a downpour does not empty the arcade the way it empties an open soi.

From there it is a short walk south to the LK Metro entrance between Soi Honey and Soi Diana. Say which end if you are meeting someone: “Buakhao side” or “Diana side”. The lane is small enough that one walk shows you the bars. Go-go rooms fill later than the beer bars. Check the price before you sit, and keep the drink slips where you can see them.

Soi 6, if you still want it, is a separate hop toward Beach Road, and it is better earlier in the day than at 1am. I would not try to do Walking Street, LK Metro and Soi 6 properly in one night.

Getting there and back

The baht bus is ฿15 for trips up to 10 km and ฿20 beyond, from 10 April 2026. From Beach Road, ride to Soi Buakhao or Second Road and walk the last part. “Soi Buakhao” alone is a long road, so give the driver a side soi, Tree Town, or the hotel pin.

Grab and Bolt are the sensible way back after the baht buses thin out. Agree a motorbike-taxi fare before you get on.

Licensed entertainment venues in Pattaya may stay open until 4am. Bars without that licence may sell alcohol from 11:00 to midnight. Tree Town and many beer bars close when they close. Ask, and do not assume 4am.

Where to stay

Staying on Soi Buakhao means you can walk, and it also means bar noise. If you want sleep, stay on Beach Road or at the mall and ride in.

For a room you can walk home from after a Walking Street night instead, see hotels near Walking Street.

FAQ

What is LK Metro in Pattaya?

LK Metro is a short L-shaped lane in central Pattaya. One end is on Soi Buakhao, between Soi Honey and Soi Diana, and the other end is on Soi Diana. It has beer bars and go-go bars, and it is smaller and usually cheaper than Walking Street.

Where is Tree Town Pattaya?

Tree Town is on Soi Buakhao, on the west side just north of Soi Honey, a short walk from the LK Metro entrance. It is a covered arcade of small bars, food stalls and live-music stages, not a single venue with published hours.

What is Soi Honey?

Soi Honey is a short adult-oriented soi beside the Soi Buakhao entrance to LK Metro. People often walk it on the same evening as LK Metro and Tree Town. It is not Walking Street and it is not Soi 6.

Is Soi Buakhao the same as Walking Street?

No. Walking Street is the pedestrian strip in South Pattaya, from Beach Road to Bali Hai Pier. Soi Buakhao is an inland road in central Pattaya, with smaller bars, more long-stay regulars, and lower beer prices.

How much is a beer on Soi Buakhao?

At the open beer bars, a domestic beer is usually ฿70–130, the same band as Pattaya’s other beer-bar areas. Go-go rooms on LK Metro are higher, about ฿140–170 for a local beer in the 2026 go-go guide. Read the board in front of you.

What time should I go to Tree Town?

The arcade is the evening plan. October 2026 local guides describe it as busy after about 19:00. Tree Town does not publish its own closing time, so do not treat 4am as a promise. Licensed clubs elsewhere in Pattaya may stay open until 4am. Ordinary bars stop selling alcohol at midnight.

Street layout was checked against 2026 local guides and this site’s October 2026 nightlife pages. Tree Town does not publish hours or a price list, so those are not invented here. This page contains affiliate links; see the affiliate disclosure.
