Walking Street is the pedestrian strip at the south end of Beach Road, running down to Bali Hai Pier. Staying within a few minutes’ walk means no taxi queue at 2am, but it also means noise. Grand Hotel Pattaya
A 3-star, 75-room hotel on Soi 14 (listed by Agoda as “No. 5, Pattaya 14”), one of the side streets running off Walking Street near the Beach Road end. Agoda places it about 60 m from the beach and shows an 8.0 score from more than 3,700 reviews, which is a large and fairly consistent sample for a budget hotel this close to the strip. It’s a simple room-and-location hotel.

W 14 Hotel
A small 12-room hotel on Walking Street Soi 14, opened in 2015 according to its Agoda listing, with an outdoor swimming pool listed among its facilities. That’s unusual for a property this size and this close to Walking Street. Agoda showed no review score when checked, so read recent reviews before booking.

Royal BJ Hotel
A 30-room, 3-star hotel that Agoda lists in its Walking Street area, about 130 m from the beach. It has the highest review score of the budget group here (8.7 from 672 reviews), and its listing notes a 2025 renovation. A good choice if you want a small hotel close to the street but with newer rooms.

At Sea Residence
A 30-room, 2-star property on Pattaya Beach Road at the Walking Street entrance (its Agoda address literally ends “Entrance”), about 40 m from the beach. It’s as close as you can get to the start of the street. Agoda showed no review score when checked, and at this location noise is guaranteed.

Mid-range: a short walk away
These sit in the grid of small sois (Soi 13/x and Pattayaland) between Beach Road and Second Road, north of Walking Street. Close enough to walk, far enough that the noise drops.

It’s one of the most-reviewed hotels in this part of Pattaya, and a sensible middle ground if you want facilities without resort prices.

Upscale: resorts within walking distance
Siam Bayshore Resort Pattaya
A large resort (270 rooms) at 559 Beach Road, beside the south end of Walking Street. Agoda places it about 240 m from Bali Hai Pier and 70 m from Pattaya Beach, rates it 5 stars, and shows 8.2 from more than 10,000 reviews. The listing gives an opening year of 1972 and a 2019 renovation, so it’s an older property in a big garden setting. It’s the most obvious choice if you want full resort facilities right next to the street.

Avani Pattaya Resort
A 300-room, 5-star resort on Beach Road, about a 10–15 minute walk north of Walking Street (approx.). Agoda lists a pool with a view, a poolside bar, a fitness centre and several restaurants, and shows an 8.7 score from about 6,800 reviews, the highest of the ten. It’s far enough from Walking Street to be quiet at night and close enough to walk there.

Which area should you pick?
- You’ll be out late most nights: stay on a Walking Street side soi (Grand Hotel, W 14, Royal BJ) and accept the noise.
- You want to walk there but sleep properly: pick the Soi 13/x grid (The Classroom, Ambiance) or Beach Road a little further north (Baywalk, Avani).
- You want a resort: Siam Bayshore for location, Avani for review scores.

A note on “Walking Street hotels” elsewhere: some booking sites and older guides describe hotels much further north as “near Walking Street”. For example, Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya is on central Beach Road, about 2.4 km from Bali Hai Pier according to Agoda, so it’s a ride, not a walk.
Noise, check-in and other practical points
- Noise: anything on or just off Walking Street will hear music until late. Licensed venues may stay open until 4am. Ask for a high floor or a room away from the street side, and pack earplugs.
- Visitors and ID: hotels in Thailand generally ask to see ID for anyone staying overnight, and policies on registered visitors vary by property. Check the hotel’s policy before you book if it matters to you.
- Getting there: Beach Road baht buses run south towards Walking Street; the fare is ฿15 for rides up to 10 km (since 10 April 2026). Ride-hailing apps pick up nearby.
